Up and out of snowy Baldwinsville by 7am as planned. Roads still snow covered and slick but thankfully not snowing and blowing like the night before. Can't think of one thing we forgot, drove out of the snow belt, and clear roads ahead. We are on our way!
Ring-ring my cell phone tells me out travel agent is calling. Isn't she so sweet to wish us well on our trip? I printed boarding passes and luggage tags late last night, even submitted our passport info online to the State Department. "Hello?" "You know your flight is cancelled right?" Ugh!!!
Cancelled. Not delayed. Cancelled. So here we are just a stone's throw from JFK airport until 9:30pm tomorrow night. So instead of spending the night roaring across the ocean on our way to Athens we are at a Best Western in Rockville Centre waiting to go out to dinner and Lane will get to watch the Rams game. Uncle Jeff said he was going to sabotage our flight so Lane could watch the game. Never underestimate the power of a Rams fan!
Jamie is safe and sound in the hotel in Athens. We'll get there eventually...
Trip advice: buy the travel insurance. So worth it!
View from our hotel room. We're about 39976 feet too close to the ground right now.
