The night market was awesome. So many vendors, really cool, funky music playing, and crowded. Tons of different crafts and things. Nice stuff too, not cheap junk. All four new volunteers came out with us, so it was a good intro to the city. They had a box of free puppies at the market. Go figure, free puppies in Argentina. What's that saying about swinging a cat? I think it has to do with small spaces, but you could swing a cat in any direction here and hit a dog. Some of the kids were snuggling the puppies and then couldn't find the owner with the box. We thought they totally got suckered with a puppy, but thankfully we found the owner.
On the way back to the bus we passed an area that was playing music for people to jump in and tango and Lorna, who is he 67 year old retired scientist, asked someone to dance and ripped up the floor with the tango. Whoo-hoooo! She takes tango lessons back in NJ to help stay limber after hip replacement last year. You go girl!!!
We went into a park that had a small amusement park as well. The park itself was a bit, hmmmm, weathered? One part was pretty cool and had dirt bike trails running throughout it, meandering up and down hills with dirt trails and jumps.
I uploaded pics from the day, but then every thing crashed at 2am so i called it a night. Posting pics this morning hopefully with more luck. Most everyone is sleeping so better chance of not getting bumped off wifi.
Going hiking on a 12 mile trek to a waterfall today. Thankfully there is sun!
Hasta luego!
